The Transformation
Inside This Home
Design Notes
An IT professional relocating from a furnished rental to his first owned apartment — the brief was direct: make it clean, make it organised, and make it feel like a proper home rather than a furnished box. At 860 sq ft, the DLF Newtown apartment had good bones, and the Essential package was calibrated to use every square foot intelligently. The kitchen is L-shaped with white laminate shutters and a grey granite countertop — hard-wearing, easy to clean, no-nonsense. Wardrobe internals were a deliberate departure from the standard: more shelving and folded-storage sections, fewer hanging rods, because the client almost exclusively wears folded clothes. The loft above has sliding shutters for accessibility. The TV console in the living area is a slim, wall-mounted unit with integrated cable management — no trailing wires, no clutter. A perimeter cove ceiling with recessed LEDs provides ambient lighting without the drama of a full false ceiling installation. The hero material of this project is the large-format warm grey vitrified floor tile, which unifies every room and makes the entire apartment read as a single, coherent space. Completed in 44 days — the fastest delivery in this batch.
