Inside This Home
Design Notes
Industrial-chic in a Bangalore apartment is a bold ask, and this 970 sq ft 2BHK at Brigade Panorama in Varthur delivered it with restraint. The young software architect wanted exposed-texture aesthetics without the rawness — industrial with warmth. The Premium package allowed us to experiment. The kitchen pairs matte dark grey laminate shutters with a concrete-effect quartz countertop and brushed black handles — a departure from our usual warm tones, but one that works beautifully. The TV unit uses an open metal-frame shelving design with wooden shelf inserts, echoing industrial loft aesthetics. Wardrobes stay warm — oak-tone laminate with black edge pulls and soft-close Hettich hardware. The false ceiling uses a combination of exposed-look cement-texture panels with warm cove lighting that softens the industrial edge. Completed in 48 days — character without compromise.
